About

About My 9 Albums

My 9 Albums is a free web tool for turning your music taste — and your taste in movies, games, and songs — into a poster. Pick nine covers, drop them into a 3x3 grid, style the layout, and download a high-resolution image to share.

Why we built it

The "my 9 albums" format took off on social media as a simple way to say "this is who I am" through nine records. The existing tools were either clunky, watermarked, or behind sign-up walls. We wanted a version that opens straight to the grid, searches tens of millions of releases, and exports a clean poster in under a minute — no account, no watermark, no cost.

How it works

  • Search the record library and fill nine grid slots (or start from a curated preset).
  • Customize the poster: layouts, color themes, typography, numbered legends, and personal notes.
  • Download the finished poster as a high-resolution image, or publish it to a shareable page.
  • Optional extras: an AI photo studio that composites your portrait into a record-wall scene, and dedicated grid modes for songs, movies, and games.

Our principles

  • Free and account-free: the core tool works for everyone, instantly.
  • Your design stays yours: poster settings live in your own browser unless you choose to publish a shared link.
  • Honest monetization: the site is supported by unobtrusive advertising and clearly discloses its use of analytics and ad cookies in the Privacy Policy.

Artwork and data

Album covers and release metadata come from public music catalogues and are the property of their respective rights holders. We use them solely to let users build personal collages. Rights holders with concerns can reach us via the Contact page.
