Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Usage data (pages viewed, approximate country, device and browser type, referral source) via Google Analytics 4.
• Advertising data: Google and its partners may set cookies or use device identifiers to serve and measure ads when AdSense is enabled.
• Local browser storage: your poster design (chosen albums, title, layout and style settings) is stored in your own browser (localStorage) so it survives a page reload. It never leaves your device through this mechanism.
• Shared posters: if you publish a shared poster page, the poster content (album selections and text you enter) is stored on our servers and publicly visible to anyone with the link.

What we do NOT collect

• No account or sign-up: we do not ask for your name, email address, or payment details to use the collage maker.
• No uploaded images for the standard grid tool: album covers are fetched from public artwork sources at request time and are not stored by us.

Google Analytics 4

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which pages are useful (for example, which guides help people finish a poster). GA4 collects usage data such as page views and events; IP addresses are used by Google only in anonymized form. You can opt out with the official Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Advertising and cookies

This site is supported in part by advertising. We use Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies (such as the DoubleClick cookie) to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to this and other sites.
• You may opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings: https://www.google.com/settings/ads.
• You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies for personalized advertising at https://www.aboutads.info/choices/ (US) or https://www.youronlinechoices.eu/ (EU).
• Where required by law (for example, in the EEA and the UK), we obtain consent before serving personalized advertising through Google's consent management tooling.

Data retention and sharing

We do not sell personal data. Shared poster content is retained until you ask us to remove it (see the Contact page). Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics settings. Service providers (Cloudflare for hosting, Google for analytics and advertising) process data on our behalf.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under the EU/UK GDPR or the California Consumer Privacy Act), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@my9albums.net and we will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.

Children

My 9 Albums is a general-audience tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
